Tinubu postpones FEC meeting, summons security chiefs to Aso Rock

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, earlier scheduled for Monday afternoon, has been postponed.

Ministers who had arrived for the meeting were seen departing the Council Chambers at the Presidential Villa venue at about noon.

The rescheduling is believed to be connected to a security meeting currently underway at the Presidential Villa, chaired by President Bola Tinubu.

The meeting comes after President Tinubu’s nationwide broadcast on Sunday, urging protesters to suspend their action and come forward for dialogue.
