Nigerian Defence Academy Celebrates Historic Graduation of Female Cadets

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) marked a significant milestone as 12 female cadets, known as “Amazons,” graduated from the rigorous and physically/mentally challenging Airborne Course alongside 148 male counterparts. Previously trained in Amphibious Operations, these trailblazers demonstrate versatility and readiness for diverse combat scenarios.

Their achievement highlights the importance of gender equality and equal opportunities in the military, fostering a more equitable society and tapping into women’s vast potential.

The Nigerian Armed Forces’ commitment to empowering female personnel paves the way for future generations of women in Special Forces, breaking barriers and shattering glass ceilings.

Congratulations to the graduating cadets, especially the 12 Amazons who made history.
