The Nigerian Army College of Education (NACOE) at Sobi in Ilorin on Thursday formally admitted 285 students into various programmes of its 2024/2025 academic session.

The College’s Provost, Maj.-Gen. Umar Babangida, while speaking during the matriculation ceremony held at Maj.-Gen. Adebayo Hall of the Sobi Cantonment urged the fresh students to imbibe the institution’s motto.

He said the motto advises them on discipline, knowledge and strength through their academic pursuit.

“This encapsulates the core values that will guide your journey here,” the Provost said.

Babangida encouraged the students to ensure those principles reflect and make an impact on their academic and personal pursuits.

He pointed out that NACOE is a citadel of learning dedicated to equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to excel in an ever-changing world.

“Beyond academic excellence, our curricula are designed to foster critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving abilities.

“Hence, I urge you to take due advantage of the resources and expertise at your disposal to expand your intellectual horizons,” the Provost said.

Speaking also, the Vice-Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode, Prof. Oluwole Banjo, urged the students to be focused in order to graduate with flying colours.

He advised them to uphold their integrity, be disciplined and make the school proud.
