Nigeria Navy arrests six suspects conveying illegally refined AGO

The Nigeria Navy says its personnel of Operation Delta Sanity has apprehended 6 suspects in 6 passenger boats conveying sacks and jerrycans of illegally refined AGO in Otuokpoti, Bayelsa State.

In a statement on its verified Facebook on Sunday, it said, “Operation DELTA SANITY: On Thursday, 19 December 2024, Nigerian Navy Ship SOROH intercepted and apprehended 6 suspects in 6 passenger boats conveying sacks and jerrycans of illegally refined AGO in Otuokpoti, Bayelsa State.

“Consequently, the suspects were handed over to personnel of Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps Headquarters, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

It would be recalled that the operatives of the Nigerian Navy have made significant arrests over the years. Although, some personnel died while fighting with the oil thieves.

This has not discouraged those who are ready to fight for the common goal of Nigerian
