NAF Trains, Graduates 1,190 New Personnel to Bolster National Security

Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), highlighted the value of excellence in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in a stirring speech during the Basic Military Training Course 44/2023 Passing Out Parade. In the Kaduna ceremony, 1,190 recently graduated airmen and airwomen completed six months of intense training that prepared them for the crucial task of protecting the country’s sovereignty.

As he urged the airmen and airwomen to uphold the NAF’s fundamental principles of professionalism, discipline, and respect for civilians, Air Marshal Abubakar commended them for their tenacity and commitment. “You have been called to protect Nigeria’s sovereignty as warriors, traders, and leaders,” he said.

Additionally, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, was thanked by the CAS for his commitment to meeting the NAF’s operational and welfare requirements.

A new classroom block at the NAFOWA Little Angels Nursery and Primary School devoted to special needs children was commissioned by the CAS as part of the occasion. The association’s dedication to inclusivity and community development is demonstrated by this initiative, which is being led by NAFOWA National President and architect Dr. Rakiya Abubakar.

As the new recruits set forth on their mission to serve and defend the country, the Passing forth Parade represented a momentous occasion.
