Kano gets new NCoS Controller

Mr Ado Inuwa, has assumed duty as the new Controller of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Kano State Command.

The Command’s Spokesman, SC Musbahu Kofar-Nasarawa, disclosed this in a statement issued to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Wednesday.

The statement said the new controller replaced Suleiman Muhammad-Inuwa, who retired after 35 years of meritorious service.

It described the 26th controller in the state as a versatile, hard-working and dedicated law enforcement professional.

Until his deployment to Kano, Inuwa was the Controller of Corrections in-charge of Jigawa.

According to the statement, the controller, who hailed from Kano Municipal Area Council of Kano State, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Bayero University Kano (BUK) and a Master’s Degree in Treasury Management also from BUK.

“He was enlisted into the Nigeria Correctional Service, Kano Command, on Dec. 31, 1991 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent.

“While assuming duty, the new controller solicited the support and cooperation of the officers and men of the command to enable him deliver on the desired goals of the command and the service in general.

“Inuwa appreciated the entire personnel of the command for the warm reception accorded him and enjoined them to put all hands on deck towards assisting the inmates as well as those on non-custodial sentence,” the statement said.

It added that the new controller also called on sister security agencies in the state to work hand-in-hand with the command to sustain the security strength of the state.
