Kano Fire Service saves 12 lives, N46m property in one month

The Kano State Fire Service says it has saved 12 persons and N46.7 million property in 23 fire incidents recorded in June.

The Spokesman of the Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Kano, that five persons lost their  lives, while N15.6 million property lost to the fire within the period under review.

“The service responded to 12 emergency calls and four false alarms from residents of the state,” he said.

He advised the people to handle fire with care, and make sure to turn off electrical appliances before leaving their homes or business premises.

He also urge motorists to drive carefully and adhere to traffic rules to avoid auto accidents.
