Insecurity: Doguwa urges FG to address security personnel`s welfare

Rep. Ado Doguwa (APC-Kano) has called on the Federal Government to prioritise security personnel`s welfare in the fight against insecurity in the country.

Doguwa who stated this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, said this would boost their morale in the ongoing fight against insecurity, and reduce it to the barest minimum.

The lawmaker said that security agencies and volunteers who put their lives on the line to ensure the security of the citizens deserved a better deal.

He said that their welfare and that of their families should be of concern to government in order to take care of issues related to their jobs.

“I am saying this with all sense of responsibility, commitment and dedication for government to do something about our security agents and their institutions.

“It is just about boosting the morale of workers; it is about the commitment and dedication of those who agreed to put their lives on the line, especially people in uniform,“he said.

Doguwa said that President Bola Tinubu’s track record of performance as Lagos State Governor is a testament to his desire to make Nigeria a better place.

He said that the president as well as members of the National Assembly  are aware of the hardships and the economic challenges being faced by Nigerians.
