Group advocates good governance, innovative solutions to Nigeria’s challenges

Association of Good Governance in Nigeria (AGGN), a Civil Society Group, has challenged elected leaders at all levels to focus on good governance and innovative solutions to the nation’s challenges.

The Convener of the group, Dr Mohammed Abubakar, made the call in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

Abubakar while noting the detrimental impact of various political disputes particularly from within on governance, reminded elected leaders of their responsibilities to provide good governance and leadership to the people.

According to him, Nigeria is currently facing significant challenges, including high inflation, unemployment, insecurity, and various socio-economic issues.

”Addressing these challenges necessitates good governance and innovative solutions.

”The country is in urgent need of governance defined by accountability, efficiency, inclusivity, and equity, rather than political maneuvering.

”We earnestly urge the President and all elected officials to prioritise the delivery of good governance and to defer political activities until the appropriate moment arises,” he said.
