GPMI condemns violence in Rivers, killing of Police Inspector, vigilante operative

A civil society organization, Global Peace Movement International, UK has condemned the violent attack on officers of the Nigerian Police Force which led to the tragic deaths of Inspector David Mgbada, and Samuel Nwigwe, a vigilante operative.

In a press statement on Thursday in London, President General, Dr Mike Uyi group conveyed the group’s concerns on the worsening insecurity in Rivers state.

Uyi described the recent attacks in Rivers and the killing of the security forces as unfortunate, barbaric, senseless and evil by all ramifications, stressing that such perpetrators must be fished out and made to pay for their crimes at all costs.

“We strongly condemn attacks and any form of attack on the police or any of our security personnel because these are strange development,” Uyi said.

While commiserating with the families of the deceased, Uyi urged the government to take decisive and stern action against the perpetrators of these acts of lawlessness in Rivers State.
