Gov. Sule tasks course participants on teamwGov. Abdulahi Sule of Nasarawa State has called on participants of course 33 of the National Defence College (NDC) to imbibe the spirit of teamwork and visionary leadership to enhance the actualisation of their goals.

Sule made the call on Friday in Abuja in  his paper on “Strategic Leadership, My Experience” delivered at the  occasion .

According to the governor, strategic leadership requires discipline, transparency, rule of law, focus, hard work, planning and execution.

Sule attributed the successes he recorded in his University days in the U.S. and other places he worked before his election as governor to his strategic leadership style.

He also attributed the successes to the privilege of working with people with same value.

The governor said his major achievement as governor of Nasarawa State was the construction of the biggest lithium company in Africa, established through executive order.

He said his administration established Enabling Environment Board to boost economic activities in the state.

He  described Karu Local Government Area as the fastest growing local governments in Nigeria.

“On protection of investment in the state, we introduced state participation in foreign businesses with massive development of infrastructure to attract investments.

“We acquired 10,000 hectares of land to improve agriculture which is currently yielding dividends to the people,” he said.

In his remark, the Commandant of NDC, Rear Admr. Olumuyiwa Olotu commended the guest lecturer for his  honest and frank lecture.

He said justice had been done to the lecture topic, adding that the issues highlighted vision, teamwork and motivation that are  key to strategic leadership.
