FRSC converts 161  non-commissioned officers to officers cadre in Kaduna zone

The Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC), Kaduna Zone said no fewer than 161 senior non-commissioned officers have been converted to the officers cadre from the zone

The Zonal Commanding Officer(ZCO), Kaduna Zone, ACM Ahmad Umar,  made the disclosure while decorating 11 of the officers from Kaduna Zonal headquarters office on Thursday  in Kaduna.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that states within the zone include: Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, and Katsina States.

Umar said, ” We are here to celebrate and decorate some of our recent;y upgraded Road Marshals to to officers cadre.

“It is what our management of FRSC call Harmonisation of Senior  non-Commissioned Officers  to officers cadre.

”Here in the zonal headquarters, we have eleven  of them who are going to be upgraded to officers cadre.

“Throughout the zone, 161 were upgraded and converted into the officers cadre.”

According to Umar, those converted went  through the rigorous process of selection and an  upgrade of  their   academic qualifications and  dedication to duties over the years.

“They are among those carefully selected by the management of FRSC across the nation, “he said.

The ZCO said the management of FRSC under the leadership of Corps Marshal Shehu Muhammad was doing everything possible to prioritise staff  motivation and welfare for optimal performance across the nation.

He called on the newly promoted staff to justify the confidence reposed on them by being more dedicated to duty and eschew anything capable of tarnishing the image of the Corps.

Umar called on the motoring public to always abide by traffic rules  and regulations to curb road traffic crashes most especially during the ember months.

SRC Muhammad Garba, who spoke on behalf of  the newly decorated officers, appreciated the management of FRSC for finding them worthy to be among the upgraded officers.

Garba assured the management of  their commitment and dedication to service .

NAN also reports that seven were upgraded to Superintendent Route Commander, three to Deputy Route Commander and one to Assistant Route Commander .
