EFCC: GPMI applaud Olukoyede’s professionalism, effectiveness, expresses confidence

warns against planned anti-EFCC protests

The President General, Global Peace International, UK, Dr. Mike Uyi has applauded the Executive Ola Ola Olukoyede’s courage, fresh ideas, vision and clear-cut focus to pilot the affairs of the anti graft agency.

Uyi gave this commendations at the presentation of award to the chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Olukoyede at tje commissions headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.

He noted that GPMI haven followed the transformative vision and agenda setting of Mr. Olukoyede since his appointment and confirmation by the senate, conscious and determined reforms have manifest in the operational landscape of the Commission.

“We commend your sterling efforts in fighting economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption since you assume office and we are surely proud of the good jobs you are doing in the fight against all economic sabotage across the country and beyond”.”From all 

we have noticed so far, EFCC is doing it best to change  the native perceptions and build new confidence. So,  we are proud to associate with you as an anti- corruption group”.

“We call on Nigerians and international partners to avail all necessary support to this genius who has come up with a new framework that has shown lining on the horizon in the war against financial crimes”.


Uyi further said GPMI warns against proposed nationwide protests against the operations of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by a group, which tagged itself @PIDOM Nigeria.While responding, the Executive chairman of the EFCC, Mr Ola Olukoyede appreciated Dr. Mike Uyi and the entire GPMI that came around.


He said the commission is doing all it can do to reposition the fight against corruption in the best international practice without fear or favour.

The chairman also charged the group to continue to stay true and collaborate with the commission as the anti-graft war cannot be won in isolation.
