AIG Zone 2 urges officers to maintain professionalism

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, Mr Adegoke Fayoade, has urged the command’s personnel to be professional in the discharge of their duties.

The Zonal Public Relations Officer (ZPRO) CSP Umma Ayuba, made this known in a statement issued on Friday in Lagos.

Ayuba quoted Fayoade as giving the charge on Friday at his maiden lecture of 2025 with senior officers of the Zonal Command.

The AIG also tasked the officers to strengthen public partnership, cultivate positive impact policing, and enhance quality service delivery and professionalism.

He advised the officers to focus on information gathering through intelligence to ensure crime and criminality is reduced to the barest minimum.

Fayoade further emphasised the need to show empathy and not be biased as all citizens are equal before the law and deserve to be treated with fairness.

Also, the AIG advised the officers to pay attention to their mental health and wellbeing.

This, according to him, is very necessary and crucial to efficiency and effectiveness in quality service delivery.
