Task force impounds 59 motorcycles in Lagos

The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce) has impounded 59 motorcycles plying restricted routes in the state.

Mr Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Assistant on News Media to the Lagos State Governor, disclosed this in a post he shared on his X handle @Mr_JAGs on Monday.

He said that task force seized the motorcycles on Monday.

“Taskforce112 this evening, monitored compliance by motorcyclists across some restricted routes/zones in the metropolis.

“The team carried out enforcement in the following areas- Oshodi-Apapa, Mile 2, Badagry, Cele-Ikotun, 1st and 2nd rainbow, Apple Junction/Roundabout.

“Fifty-nine motorcycles were confiscated during the operation for plying the RESTRICTED zones, “Gawat said.
