Police issue emergency contact, safety tips to residents in Kaduna 

The Police Command in Kaduna State has issued an emergency contact and safety tips to the residents for rapid response to security challenges.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, stated this in a statement issued on Saturday in Kaduna.

Hassan said that the Commissioner of Police (CP), Rabiu Muhammad, was committed to ensuring the safety and security of all the residents.

He said the command had intensified proactive measures through the deployment of personnel to strategic areas.

This is with a view to creating more nipping points, vulnerable and flash points across key locations in the state .

Hassan added that the measures were to enhance safety and security of all persons and properties for greater economic development of the state.

 He said that these key points were designed to enhance police visibility, deter criminal activities, and provide rapid response to security challenges .

” Residents are urged to cooperate with officers at these points and report any suspicious activities immediately, ” he said.

According to Hassan, to ensure the safety of lives and property, the command has advised the public to observe safety precautionary measures.

“These measures include being vigilant and to always alert any suspicious movements or persons to the nearest Police station or any security personnel nearest to you.

“Also avoid late-night movements unless when necessary, refrain from traveling late at night, stay away from in isolated areas, secure your homes and properties, ” he said.

Hassan further advised the residents to be cautious with strangers by not sharing personal information or allow them  into their homes or business premises without verification.

“They should  report crimes promptly in case of any emergency, distress, or suspicious activity, promptly contact the police for swift response and intervention.
