Police assure FRSC of collaboration in Enugu

The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr Kanayo Uzuegbu, has assured collaboration and cordial working relationship between the Nigeria Police and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Uzuegbu gave the assurance on Wednesday in Enugu, when he received the new Sector Commander of FRSC Enugu State Command, Corps Commander Franklin Agbakoba, who paid him a familiarisation visit in his office.

According to him, the partnership and close working relationship between the Police and FRSC cannot be negotiated.

The commissioner stressed the complementary roles played by the Police and FRSC especially in road traffic management, saying that the roles remained crucial to the overall security and safety of human lives and property in Enugu State.

“I am assuring you that we will have a strengthened and more effective collaboration.

“The police will definitely support your command’s operations through a close working relationship in Enugu State,” Uzuegbu said.

Earlier, Agbakoba, who visited the commissioner in company of his principal officers, highlighted areas for further strengthening of the existing partnership of the organisations in the state.

“I am here to solicit and foster a better working relationship with the police, particularly in ensuring maximum security and safety on roads in Enugu State,” he said.
