Today, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo had the honor of decorating Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche as the third substantive Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
In the ministers’ remarks, He urged the new CG to build on the successes of his predecessors in areas of transformative reforms.
It is our hope that he will make the president proud by inspiring officers in the service to do more in advancing the cause of the paramilitary service to an enviable height.
The Minister challenged him to develop reforms and strategies to reposition the service into one that is truly correctional, transformative and reformatory —where as a country, we can reduce the rate of recidivism to zero.
