Security agencies at the weekend in Katsina State burst one of the supply chains of ammunition to terrorists in the North West geo-political zone of the country.
This followed the arrest of a lady, who identified herself as Aisha Abubakar, involved in the transportation of large quantity of ammunition from Nasarawa State to terrorists in Katsina State by eagle eye security agencies.
The ammunition were concealed in a neatly tied polythene bag and properly kept in a Bacco-super bag to divert any form of suspicion.
Her arrest followed the vigilance and prying eyes of security agencies at a checkpoint in Katsina State that insisted in conducting a search on the luggage loaded in a Katsina State commercial transport coastal bus which led to the discovery of the concealed ammunition.
Aisha Abubakar initially denied ownership of the luggage but later confessed to the crime, saying that she was conveying the ammunition from Nasarawa State to Katsina for onward delivery to terrorists in Yan Tumaki in Dan Musa Local Government Area of Katsina State.
