ISWAP Terrorists Execute Village Head In Nigeria-Niger Border Community

The Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) has executed the village head of Malam Boulamari, a locality in Niger’s Diffa region.

According to a statement released by a security analyst and counter insurgency expert in the Lake Chad area, Zagazola Makama, the terrorist group published images of the summary execution, showcasing the traditional leader’s brutal demise.

The execution is believed to be part of ISWAP’s ongoing campaign of terror in the region, targeting local authorities and civilians accused of collaborating with the government or security forces.

The Diffa region, situated near the borders with Nigeria and Chad, has been a hotspot for insurgent activities, with ISWAP and Boko Haram frequently launching attacks against villages, security forces, and humanitarian workers.

This latest incident has raised concerns about the growing presence of ISWAP in the region and the need for concerted efforts to combat terrorism.

Zagazola wrote: “The Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) has executed the village head of Malam Boulamari, a locality situated between Mainé Soroa and Chetimari in Niger’s Diffa region.

“Images of the brutal act were published by the group, showing the summary execution of the traditional leader. The execution is believed to have been carried out as part of ISWAP’s ongoing campaign of terror in the region, targeting local authorities and civilians accused of collaborating with the government or security forces.
