Ebonyi CP decorates 17 newly promoted officers.

The Commissioner of Police in Ebonyi, CP Anthonia Uche-Anya, has decorated 17 newly promoted officers serving in the command

Uche-Anya, who performed the decoration at the Police Officers’ Mess, Abakaliki on Monday  tasked the officers on professionalism.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that out of the 17 officers,  Five Superintendents of Police (SP) were promoted to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).

 NAN also reports that six Deputy Superintendents Police (DSP) were  promoted to Superintendents of police (SP) while another six Assistant Superintendents of police (ASPs) were promoted to the Deputy Superintendents of police (DSP).”

 The police commissioner advised the officers to continue to  serve with dedication and integrity .

 â€śYou must see your new ranks as additional tasks and responsibilities.

” Promotion is a call for more responsibilities. It’s a call for more hard work.

“To whom, much is given, much is expected,” she said.

She enjoined them to be good example to the society, especially in discharging of  their duties.

SP Joshua Ukandu, one of the newly promoted, expressed gratitude and pledged to remain professional, civil, and diligent in the discharge of their duties.

Ukandu, who is also the command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO) pledged not to fail the Nigerian Police in the discharge of primary responsibilities.

“I appreciate the Inspector-General of Police for founding us worthy for the promotion. We will continue to be more committed to security of lives and property,” he added.
