A statement from the Command through its Spokesperson, Moses Yamu, disclosed that the priest’s release in Amughe Community around 5p.m on Thursday 13th March, followed intensive search and rescue operations by Police operatives and vigilante members.

The Command noted that its operatives are continuing with bush-combing exercise to recover the remains of the Seminarian, Peter Andrew, who was kidnapped along with the priest but regrettably died in the process.

According to the Command, the exercise is also aimed at arresting the remaining members of the kidnap gang.

It recalled that one suspect was neutralised and four arrested on the day of the kidnap.
