Army to conduct firing exercise in Abak LGA

The 2 Brigade of the Nigerian Army has announced its First Quarter Range Classification Exercise for 2025. It will hold at 6 Battalion Range, Abak, Akwa Ibom.

Lt. Adebowale Adejimi, Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, made this known in a statement issued in Uyo on Monday.

The exercise will involve 2 Brigade Garrison and other sub-units. It is scheduled to take place from March 19 to 28.

Residents of Abak Local Government Area are advised to avoid the exercise location and not to be alarmed by the sound of gunfire.

Adejimi assured the public that necessary safety and security measures have been put in place for the duration of the exercise
