EFCC nabs 37 suspected internet fraudsters in Ilorin

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has arrested 37 suspected internet fraudsters at different locations in Ilorin, Kwara.

EFCC Spokesperson Dele Oyewale, said this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

According to him, 15 of them were arrested in Tanke Oke-Odo area of Ilorin, on Wednesday while 22 of the suspects were arrested on March 22, in Tanke, Alao Farm Estate, Yidi Road, and Irewolede areas of Ilorin.

He said that the arrest of the 37 suspects followed credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.

”Items recovered from them at the point of arrest included eight luxury cars, smartphones and high-end laptop computers.

”The suspects will be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations,” he said
