Innoson motors donates 4 vehicles to Enugu Security Trust Fund

Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, Nigeria’s indigenous Automobile Manufacturing Company, has donated four vehicles comprising two pickup cars and two crossover vehicles to the Enugu Security Trust Fund (ESTF).

Chief Innocent Chukwuma, the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, made the donation at the Government House Enugu on Wednesday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Enugu State Government had on Feb. 16, launched the ESTF during which the Fund raked in over N3 billion in physical and online donations.

The company donated the two pick-up vehicles and two crossover vehicles to enhance fight crime in Enugu State.

Donating the vehicles, Innoson boss commended Gov. Peter Mbah’s administration for improved security and socio-economic infrastructure in the state.

He noted that the administration had made Enugu increasingly conducive for investment, adding that manufacturers in the state were happy and willing to contribute their quota to support government’s effort.

“I came to support the Security Trust Fund, as the Governor is doing wonderfully well in Enugu State. And when I saw all he is doing, I was marvelled at the way he is working everywhere.

“Manufacturers here are now happy. Even the areas that we could not enter during rainy season, today we can enter and work anywhere.

“Manufacturers have seen the difference. This is why I felt that I should come and support the Security Trust Fund, so that everywhere will be more secure and everyone will be happy,” he said.

He added that Mbah had also promised a lot of things like making gas available for manufacturers due to the situation of electricity.

“So, I brought these vehicles so that they can help him in what he is doing in the area of security in Enugu State,” he said.

Responding, Mbah expressed gratitude to the company, promising to do more to continue to make Enugu State the premier destination for investment.

“We feel very excited as a government and this is what we have always talked about – partnership that works.

“This could only happen because Innoson is a core stakeholder in Enugu State and he sees the value of investing and doing business in Enugu.

“So, we appreciate him greatly for donating to the State Security Trust Fund, providing two pick-up vehicles and two crossover vehicles.

“That essentially enhances our capacity to fight crime and to ensure that the investing community and the investors are safe and secure in Enugu State.

“We are immensely thankful for your support and we are also committing to putting these vehicles to good use.

“We will continue to provide a safe and secure environment for the people of Enugu State,” he said.
