Military unveils 2025 tattoo logo

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa, has on Friday, unveiled the Armed Forces of Nigeria Tattoo 2025 Logo, as an attribute of catharsis, valour and resilience of the military.

Musa said the event was a reminder of political history and vision for the future which served as an emblem of pride and inspiration for the members of the armed forces and the general public.

He said that the unveiling of the Tattoo 2025 logo showcased the history, culture, practises, skills, discipline, and the heritage of the Nigerian military.

According to him, it gives discipline and understanding of what command, obedience, loyalty, dedication, and sacrifice are.

“This tattoo is a parade. We also invite other members of other forces to come and showcase their parades, their culture, their activities and this fosters unity between us.

“And that is a critical thing for every armed force that is professional and that separates you from kangaroo armed forces or non-state actors because they don’t know what all this is about, ” he said.

The CDS said that each element of the new logo had been crafted to reflect the military’s commitment to peace, security, and Independence.

According to him, it is believed that the logo will serve as an emblem of pride and inspiration for the members of the armed forces and the general public.

Earlier, the Chairman, Planning and Organising Committee, Rear Adm. M. Mohammed said, the military had long stood as a symbol of strength, courage, and unity, while embodying the values of service, sacrifice, and pathos.

Muhammed said the military aimed to showcase operational excellence as well as the vibrant culture and the dedication of the men and women who developed the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

He said the tattoo would become a source of national pride and a testament to the resilience and capabilities of the nation’s military.
