WNSN in Osun arrests fake bank manager, 6 others

Western Nigeria Security Network  (Amotekun Corps) in Osun has arrested a female, 31, alleged to have duped many people in Lagos and other states, posing as a bank manager.

The Amotekun Corps Commander in Osun, Dr Omoyele Adekunle, disclosed this to newsmen, on Tuesday in Osogbo, shortly after the parade of the woman and six others suspect arrested over alleged involvement in various crimes.

Adekunle said that personnel of the corps arrested the fake bank  manager at 2:45p.m., on Oct. 19 in Osogbo following a petition by one Mr Fatai Saheed, who was allegedly duped of N4.5 million.

He said that the other six suspects, between the ages of 18 and 37, were arrested for alleged crimes including stealing an unregistered Bajaj motorcycle, obtaining money on false pretences and duping PoS operators.

The Amotekun Commander said that the suspects would be handed over to the appropriate authority for prosecution .

Adekunle reassured the public that under his leadership, the corps would work assiduously to minimize crime in the state.

He said that available human and material assets of the corps would be deployed to enhance security of lives and properties in the state.
