Buhari appoints new IGP


President Muhammadu Buhari has announced Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, as acting Inspector-General of Police, with immediate effect.

This was announced to State House correspondents Tuesday afternoon by  the Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi.

Buhari had on February 4th, 2021 extended the tenure of Mohammed Adamu as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for three months; out of which he has spent two months and three days.
